Internal links now working
June 27, 2008
I noticed today that nearly all the internal links were being redirected to the home page, so I’ve gone through all the links of the pages and fixed them. I’ve left the links on the posts but if anyone finds any others please let me know?

What I need to do after swap-over
April 20, 2008
This will be the last post before I actually go ahead with the swap-over and it basically gives an idea what I will do afterwards. I’m not going to go into detail now, so it might probably not make sense to most but will be a guide for later.

Lots of new pages
April 6, 2008
I’ve added some new pages to the site. Basically they are copies of previous posts that could be useful as static pages. It makes them more visible and easier to find too. The full list is below:

Updated portfolio pages
March 31, 2008
Nothing major but with the help from the guys from the Revolution theme support site I’ve been able to tidy up the image thread found at the bottom half of the portfolio pages. It will now display threads from the related category (for example, nature photo threads on the nature portfolio page). The thread will be a preview and will basically show only the photo. Links to the full entry, where you;ll find background information and alternative images, are provided. The full list of portfolio pages are:

What I’m gonna do with my old blog
March 30, 2008
I was lingering on what I should do with the old blog. It’s not content-heavy but but there are a lot of entries there and seems a waste to just dump them. So….

Upgraded to WordPress 2.5
March 30, 2008
Just to say that I have successfully upgraded the site to version 2.5 of WordPress (my webblog application). I was suprised how easy and smoothly it went. I used a automatic upgrade plugin which walked me through the process of backing up, downloading and installing. It couldn’t be much easier and couldn’t have gone any smoother.

Future short and long term plans
March 20, 2008
I’ve started to create a list of future implementations to the site and the Squashy Frog Photography ‘project’ as a whole. The list looks something like this: Read more

So what’s been done already? Well it’s probably worth looking around to give yourself an idea first but here’s a run-down: Read more

Update on the web site - to do before launch
March 20, 2008
Apologises there are a lot of entries like this and they are basically me thinking out loud (though I hope it helps people understand what I’m doing and aid them if they are planning/doing the same thing - if not then you have my permission to tell me to shut up ;-)).

Donations
March 20, 2008
I don’t like to ask for help with money and feel a little ashamed to do so but in my situation I can’t even afford the £35 to buy the Sounslides application at the moment - the Flash animation on the home page that currently has a demo marker on it. But if you wish to help me out with this and generally with my pursuit to photography professionalism then any and all donations big or small are very much welcome. You see the buttons dotted around the site and here’s another.

Update on the web site - the swap-over
March 20, 2008
A note to say that the switch from the old site to the new site should happen pretty soon. The new site won’t be completely ready but I’ve added some content to it, as you can see, and that is the important thing. Fixes and tweaks will be ad-hoc after launch. So the plan is:

No new WordPress… yet
March 12, 2008
I’ve just read that there will not be a version 2.5 of WordPress released today. It’s now expected in a week or so’s time. All this means that any shutdown and potential follow-up problems with my site while I update it to the new version are postponed until there. For anyone interested the latest news on WordPress please read the excerpt below and follow the link: Read more

No Import
January 30, 2008
Hi again,
From a lack of response from WordPress support I take it that I cannot import all my old blog entries from my Serendipity blog to the new WordPress blog. So this will mean that we start afresh. A pain as I would have liked all the old photos here but good as I really would like to re-write most of the articles I wrote before.

Welcome
January 30, 2008
Hello!
This is a quick post to say hello and welcome to my site. Out with the old Serendipity and PixelPost sites and in with the new all-in-one WordPress/Revolution site. If you’ve somehow found this site now you’ll see that it’s very much in the construction process. I uploaded the new site early January 2008 to the UK domain during the implementation process. Once all the basics are set-up and I’m happy to go the old photography site and blog will be taken down and replaced with what you see here. So if you bear with me I will be working on the site over the coming days, weeks and months.
